About the Role:

We are looking for 2 x As Operational Controller, you will be based in either our Sydney or Brisbane office working a 12 hour rotating shift pattern as part of a highly motivated 24/7 newly established control centre as part of our Global Control Centre strategy. The team is responsible for the monitoring of renewable energy assets across all regions and technologies, as well as safe and efficient control and coordination of work carried out by technical and engineering teams.
 
 
 


Key Responsibilities include but not limited to:
  • Monitor & Control assets via various software platforms, real time monitoring, analysis & control of the assets to identify issues
  • Manage emergency response & report on outages in the electricity network
  • Execute trading strategies & interface with AEMO
  •  Assist asset management team with the management of daily market offers

  • Manage risk associated with ancillary service markets
  • Assist with the reporting of plant performance & availability
  • React to short term electricity and minimize their impact 
Skills, Experience & Qualifications:
  •  Understanding of best practice control center operations, systems & processes
  • Working knowledge of SCADA systems & experience in energy market operations
  • Solid working knowledge of NEM wholesale spot market operations including bidding
  • Ability to work under pressure & manage stakeholders in timely manner
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Few years of experience working in a control room environment performing real time monitoring
  • Experience working a rotating shift pattern

 

You will be working a 12 hour rotating shift pattern as part of a highly motivated 24/7 newly established control centre as part of our Global Control Centre strategy.
